About the Job
AD Process Operator
£25,000 per annum Plus Pension, BUPA Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 20 Days’ Holiday (rising with service)
Committed to sustainability, Olleco is on a mission to reduce waste within the foodservice industry. We’re now looking for an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Process Operator to join our team.
If you have experience of working on a mobile plant and high SHEQ standards, this is a superb opportunity to take your next step with a forward-thinking company.
Within a vibrant and fast-paced environment, you’ll have the chance to make a lasting, positive impact on an integral business function.
As an AD Process Operator, you will be tasked with ensuring that our anaerobic digestion plant runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Working from a biochemical, operational and technical perspective, you will make sure that the plant is efficient, effective and optimised.
You will report to the AD Plant Supervisor and work closely with the site team, the AD Fitter and maintenance staff, SHEQ professionals and sites visitors.
On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with other Operators regarding the operation of the plant. You will seek to maximise the plant's operational performance, identify issues and escalate problems as appropriate.
You will support continuous improvement efforts and maintenance activities and take part in special projects as required to ensure continued day-to-day performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience of working on a mobile plant
- Experience in an industrial related field, ideally Anaerobic Digestion or waste recycling
- High SHEQ standards and sound knowledge of safety practices
We are also interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in chemical manufacturing, the water industry or any industry with an emphasis on the use of pressure vessels, tanks, pipes and pumps.
Detailed-oriented and pragmatic, as an AD Process Operator, you must be full of initiative and fresh ideas. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also key.
An industry related qualification or certification, such as a forklift truck licence or operational health and safety qualification, would be beneficial to your application, however this is by no means essential.
Applicants must be prepared to work alternating shifts of 7am - 4pm or 1pm - 10pm.
